Dear my love, the gift named "journey" for you.

Three years has passed since we're dating. I'm usually shy and it's difficult to say thank you,will give you a trip for surprise.It is good to give an object thing as usual, What I really want to give you are this beautiful scenery made of nature in this island and the time between us.

To Irabu-Jima welcomes you the magnificent nature.

The purpose of this journey is for her gift. As I don't usually say thank you to her, I decided to give a journey gift for her surprise. Things do overflow everywhere, and we can get them easily. The reason why I chose a journey is I wanted to share the experience with her, to see views of nature which we've never seen before, and to give her quiet moments not having any redundancy.

Driving on a rented car, going direct from the airport to the Hirara port. This Hirara port was the center of transportation in Miyako-Jima until the airport built. The men in the port guided, getting on the ferry with a car in. After a while, the island we arrived at was Irabu-Jima. Irabu-Jima and Miyako-Jima will be bonded with a bridge in 2015. The island of nature untouched, being able to reach to magnificent views on driving for a while.

A cafe, a space of storekeeper's care in and be able to taste of the sea in Irabu-Jima.

The place I brought her to was a cafe.At the cafe, we can view of the sea from the open wide window, and it has a good sensed bookcase made of antique like wood and a counter In this isolated island apart from a city, what a surprise there is like this improved quality cafe here. The shopkeeper told me that he had run a cafe in Tokyo and moved here. We had a lot talk over a counter. A cheesecake with brown cane sugar in it was sweet gently and tasted good.

Watching tons of stars in the night, go to silent beach in the morning.

We chose a villa typed inn to staying our fill for private. There was no sign boards along the street, stopped the car and went towards a room through the tall hedge opening. Opening a door, I heard her give a shout of joy. We have an open wide space in front of the room, and there are a pool and a day bed. Going down the hill ahead, we can see our private beach. She was high spirited. Dinner was served using many foodstuff in this island. "Thank you for today". She said. Seeing stars like falling from the sky, our day finishes quietly.

Seeing stars like falling from the sky, our day finishes quietly. Toguchi-no-Hama has beautiful contrast between the white beach and the blue sea. The beach is amazingly soft, and is like sinking our feet slowly. The place where every person in Miyako-Jima says beautiful is "Shimoji-Jima". For the color of the sea we've never seen before, lost the words unconsciously. There are special views here, and I'm so happy than ever to share these with her.

A handmade accessory shop has an atelier inside. Receiving an inspiration from nature in this island, I give her accessories made of shells and corals, pretty colors of delicate ones. Each of these fit amazingly for her spending a day in this place.

The end of our journey. Will go to see the one I wanted to show her the most. Going from Yonahamaehama beach which is said "the whitest beach in the Orient", to the sea before the sunset, getting on the cruiser. By the time we saw the beach faraway, the engine stopped. The sound only to hear was gentle waves. The sun turned red sinking to the sea in Miyako-Jima. Not to miss, just only watch this. The time when setting sun sank into the horizon completely, she whispered softly. "Thank you. Be my best forever."
